The smartphone will have the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12 and security features dedicated to businesses. BlackBerry states that the Priv should be available before the end of 2015.

While BlackBerry is preparing to market smartphones running the Android operating system from Google, the company does not seem to give up the BlackBerry OS. A new version called BlackBerry 10.3.3 due out in March 2016, and it will make further improvements related to “security and privacy”.

Details on the BlackBerry smartphone Android fled for months, although we have recently learned that he would be called “Priv”. Until now, we knew under the code name “Venice”.

If leaks are accurate, the smartphone will probably have a 5.4 inch screen, a hexa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, and a rear camera of 18 megapixels. It has a physical keyboard that slides behind the screen, and runs a version of Android that has been customized to incorporate BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Hub and other services of the firm. But it also supports Google mobile services, such as Google Play Store.

While the latest BlackBerry smartphones can run Android applications, you must download them from the Amazon Appstore or sideloader these, because there is no support for the Play Store or other official Google applications, such Google Maps, Gmail, or Google Chrome.
