Yahoo already be working on a new homepage

Although Yahoo has recently announced a redesign of the home page of his famous portal, a new screen capture fly internally suggests that this homepage will evolve again. Indeed, Yahoo seems to have provided a multitude of changes to its portal . The CEO, Marissa Mayer, is expected to officially announce the new site, which is currently in beta testing next month.

This is not the first time we hear about a new web portal of the US firm, but the latest images, relayed by Re / code, suggest that other changes were implemented.

On the left side of the new home page, there is a link to the mails, videos and “magazines”, a category that has recently become a major concern for Mayer. Other sections such as Yahoo weather, job offers and games are no longer favored. The inset “Only from Yahoo” meanwhile to achieve greater importance, and the latest trends are placed at the top of the page.

It seems that a part of the team of Yahoo is not really impressed by the changes implemented by the product manager Mike Kerns, and Kerns some employees would be concerned about the impact that this will have recast on site traffic. It is also interesting to note that this is just a leak, and the final design of the site might change when it was released to the public.

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the proposed reform is that the new homepage seems to be easily adapted to a mobile or tablet ecosystem . In other words, we could have a native portal on a desktop computer, and the like on a mobile device.

Announcing the results of its third quarter, Mayer emphasized the importance of a mobile first , while minimizing the importance of a site on a desktop computer. According to comScore, the Yahoo CEO is entitled to expect, since the US site visitors are down 16% in the third quarter, while mobile users increased 34% in the same period.
